Black Humour

The exhibition, curated by Aasim Akhtar, explores Black Humour as captivating and intriguing aspect of the art scene. From sarcastic and satirical artworks to pieces that embody irony and subversion, artists use dark comedy as a tool to explore unconventional themes and challenge societal norms.
Both artists in this show juxtapose morbid elements with comical ones that underscore the senselessness or futility of life. By using farce and low comedy, they make clear that individuals are helpless victims of fate, character and ‘the force of circumstance’.
